A proven track record in all areas from start-ups to established shipping / trading organisations. Experienced presenter at all levels. I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), a supporting member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA) and a member of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA). Seawise Chartering Ltd, 1989-present

Founder & Managing Director

Founded an independent ship broking company in 1989. Maintained and grew a profitable business over a 25 year period. Developed and retained exclusive business with both owners and charterers. Employed and managed a team of staff, ranging from 2–9 brokers. Evolved the business in an increasingly competitive, global environment.

Epsom Shipping India Pvt Ltd, Mumbai, 2003–2012

Co-Founder

Co-founded an offshore shipping company. Raised private finance to purchase first vessel. Identified and purchased various other distressed assets. Subsequently secured long-term employment for them. Negotiated and won various government and multi-national contracts. Presented to banks, funds and investors. Raised capital to grow the business and construct several new vessels. Assisted with the design and construction of a new offshore vessel. Worked closely with large multi national companies regarding long term shipping contracts.

Epsom Shipping Ltd, City of London, 2001–2006

Founder & Managing Director

Set up a ship operating business. Raised the profile of the company to be an accepted name in the shipping market. Built up trade patterns and key clients. Ran a fleet of handy and handy max vessels over a six year period. Started a joint venture with an established panamax owner. Oversaw the daily management of a fleet of vessels and a large order book.

Eggar Forrester, City of London, 1985–1989

Shipbroker

Started as a trainee shipbroker. Learnt the basics of S&P and dry cargo chartering. Developed exclusive and semi exclusive owners. Raised funds to start my own ship broking company.
